The Lady’s Three-Day British Etiquette & Empowerment Course is the signature programme of the Emma Dupont Etiquette School. Offered as both private tuition and small group instruction throughout the year, this immersive etiquette course in London is designed to cultivate refined confidence, composure, and lasting personal growth.
More than an introduction to social graces, this elegant programme supports women in navigating challenging interactions with poise and discernment, and in carrying themselves with quiet assurance at important social and professional occasions. Through Emma’s expert guidance, ladies develop the confidence to establish healthy boundaries, navigate social and business environments with clarity, and make decisions aligned with their personal values, cultivating a presence that is understated yet assured.
This British etiquette course in London provides a comprehensive understanding of British customs, communication styles, and social and professional expectations. Participants are supported in forming authentic connections with British people, strengthening both personal and professional relationships through cultural understanding.
Group courses are limited to just eight ladies, allowing for an intimate, calm learning environment where instruction feels unrushed, personal, and considered. This small group setting ensures each participant receives focused attention and guidance within a supportive and welcoming atmosphere.
This course is offered to ladies aged 18 and over.

Where is the course held?
This etiquette course in London is hosted at the prestigious In and Out Naval and Military Club, located in the heart of St James’s Square.
Surrounded by some of London’s most historic addresses and private clubs, this refined setting provides a fitting backdrop for a programme centred on elegance, discretion, and personal growth. The club is conveniently located just a short walk from Piccadilly Underground Station, with access to the Piccadilly and Bakerloo lines.
What happens after you complete the course?
Ladies attending the Lady’s Three-Day Etiquette & Empowerment Course also receive complimentary lifetime access to the equivalent online etiquette courses, totalling over 11 hours of prerecorded video lessons.

Course Syllabus
Day One Schedule
Welcome refreshments will be available from 9:45 AM, with the course commencing promptly at 10:00 AM. A fifteen-minute morning break will be provided, with refreshments available throughout the day.
A one-hour luncheon break will be offered at 1:00 PM, allowing students the opportunity to explore the local area and enjoy nearby restaurants (at the student’s own expense).
The first day will conclude around 5:00 PM.
CONFIDENT INTRODUCTIONS & SOCIAL GRACES
A confident foundation in British social engagement, focusing on first impressions and early interaction.
You will learn how to introduce yourself with clarity and ease, navigate handshakes and alternative greetings with discernment, and understand the subtleties of social kissing across different contexts.
Particular attention is given to remembering names, engaging in graceful small talk, and developing a calm, assured presence through the power bubble™ concept, allowing you to enter social settings feeling composed, self-possessed, and quietly confident.
Outcome: To move through initial social encounters with natural ease, clarity, and personal authority.
SOCIAL AND BUSINESS NETWORKING
A natural approach to social and professional networking.
This module focuses on navigating social and professional networking with confidence, foresight, and clarity. You will learn how to prepare effectively in advance, craft a compelling social and business introduction, and speak with assurance in a variety of settings.
Guidance is provided on using name badges, approaching new people with ease, and gracefully including others in conversation.
You will also develop the skill of moving confidently through a room, excusing yourself politely, and following up in a way that feels natural, respectful, and effective.
Outcome: To network with confidence and purpose, without strain, self-consciousness, or social discomfort.
DEPORTMENT, PRESENCE, AND BODY LANGUAGE
Presence and confidence through deportment and body language.
This module explores the relationship between deportment, body language, and quiet authority. You will develop an understanding of why posture and movement matter so profoundly, and how they influence both perception and self-confidence.
Instruction focuses on standing and sitting with poise in social and professional settings, navigating lifts with discretion, and moving with ease when ascending and descending stairs.
Guidance is also given on entering and exiting a vehicle gracefully, ensuring your physical presence reflects composure, dignity, and refinement in every setting.
Outcome: To carry yourself with elegance and assurance, allowing posture and movement to support, rather than undermine, your confidence.
Day Two Schedule
Welcome refreshments will be available from 9:45 AM, with the course commencing promptly at 10:00 AM. A fifteen-minute morning break will be provided, with refreshments available throughout the day.
At 1 PM, Emma will escort you to The Ritz Hotel, London, where you will savour a three-course luncheon within the two Michelin-star restaurant to practice your dining etiquette skills. This experience is included in the course price.
The course will finish at approximately 4 PM.
*Three-course fixed-priced tasting menu includes a glass of champagne or wine and soft drinks.
SOCIAL AND PROFESSIONAL DINING ETIQUETTE
British dining etiquette for both social and business settings, refined with clarity and attention to detail.
Particular attention is given to the British place setting, seating plans, and the confident handling of cutlery and glassware. Napkin etiquette, the graceful navigation of challenging foods, and the management of minor errors are addressed with clarity, alongside the conventions surrounding bills and gratuities.
These principles are then practised during a hosted luncheon at The Ritz Hotel, London, where your understanding is applied in a formal setting, allowing etiquette to move naturally from theory into lived experience with ease and composure.
Outcome: To dine with confidence and refinement, able to navigate formal meals with quiet assurance and natural grace.
CORPORATE ENTERTAINING
Hosting in professional and corporate settings, approached with confidence and discretion.
You will explore how to select the most appropriate style of event, whether hosted at home or within a restaurant setting, and how to compose a thoughtful, well-balanced guest list.
The principles of a receiving line, seating in accordance with precedence, and the creation of a well-managed and harmonious occasion are addressed with clarity. The module also explores the art of toasts and speeches, alongside thoughtful corporate gift giving, ensuring your hosting reflects professionalism, discretion, and respect for the occasion.
Outcome: To host corporate and professional events with assurance, structure, and polished authority.
Day Three Schedule
Welcome refreshments will be available from 9:45 AM, with the course commencing promptly at 10:00 AM. A fifteen-minute morning break will be provided, with refreshments available throughout the day.
At 1.30 PM, you will be given a 30-minute break, followed by your graduation and the presentation of a framed certificate of completion.
The course will conclude with Afternoon Tea at Brown's Hotel, where you will learn the customs, history, and etiquette of this quintessential pastime over sandwiches, scones, and an array of teas to enjoy, along with a celebratory glass of champagne if you desire. This experience is included in the course price.
The course will finish at approximately 4.30 PM.
HOME ENTERTAINING
A confident approach to home entertaining, from invitation to farewell.
You will explore the planning, execution, and conclusion of refined home entertaining, including selecting invitations, composing a thoughtful guest list, and planning a menu with appropriate wine pairings.
Table settings, seating plans, and the respective roles of hosts and guests are addressed with clarity, along with the graceful management of arrivals and departures and guidance on bringing an occasion to a close with warmth and discretion.
Corporate and social hostess gifts are also explored to ensure every element of entertaining is approached with confidence, discernment, and ease.
Outcome: To host and attend at a private home with assurance, generosity, and quiet elegance.
DRESS CODES AND GROOMING
Dressing with confidence across social and professional settings.
You will explore British dress codes across a range of social and professional settings, with an understanding of how attire and presence communicate with quiet authority. The relationship between clothing and body language is introduced, allowing you to dress with intention and assurance.
Casual and smart casual occasions, contemporary “come as you are” expectations, and the distinctions between business lounge suits and cocktail attire are addressed with clarity. The module concludes with a clear understanding of formal evening dress, including black tie and white tie, enabling you to approach any invitation with confidence and ease.
Outcome: To dress appropriately and confidently for every occasion, understanding not only what to wear, but why it matters.
MODERN AND TRADITIONAL COMMUNICATION
Communication across written and digital settings, with confidence and propriety.
You will explore the art of communication in both written and digital correspondence, including the elements of a well-curated stationery collection and the clear composition of formal and informal invitations.
Timely and appropriate responses, including the role of the RSVP and the conventions surrounding wedding invitations, are addressed with care. The module also explores personal and business letter writing, as well as modern expectations for social media and mobile phone manners, ensuring your communication remains polished, respectful, and appropriate in every context.
Outcome: To communicate with confidence and discernment, whether in writing or online, while honouring both tradition and contemporary etiquette.
TRADITIONAL BRITISH AFTERNOON TEA
The tradition of British Afternoon Tea, understood and practised with ease and delight.
You will explore the tradition of British Afternoon Tea, including its origins and the history of tea, as well as the principles of correct service and presentation.
Appropriate attire, the structure of a traditional tea, and the etiquette surrounding sandwiches, scones, and pâtisserie are addressed with clarity. The module concludes with a guided tea-tasting experience, allowing you to appreciate flavour, ritual, and restraint as you enjoy this enduring British custom with confidence and poise.
Outcome: To enjoy and host Afternoon Tea with cultural understanding, elegance, and relaxed assurance.

HOW DO I JOIN THE MONTHLY ONLINE GROUP Q&A SESSION? WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN’T MAKE IT?
The Monthly Online Group Q&A Sessions are delivered via Zoom. Students must download Zoom to their computer or smartphone to join the call, but they don't need a Zoom account.
The schedule will be released to students one month in advance. All calls will be recorded and uploaded to the training website within 24 hours so you can watch the replay at your leisure.

Please note, this is not a Train-the-Trainer certification programme. The course materials are protected by copyright and are intended solely for personal use.
